The third in this series of joint meetings produced the largest proceedings
volume to date. There are over 400 pages of technical articles covering
applications of electrostatics to numerous areas, including air quality
control, color printers, protection of electronics and industrial facilities,
genetic engineering, and landmine detection. In addition, there are numerous
contributions on fundamental aspects and measurement techniques, both of
which are essential to continued progress in practical applications. Electrostatic
effects in fluids are especially stressed.
